Hosted for the first time at the newly million pound refurbished ILEC Banqueting Suite on Sunday 18th Feb, the 13th Screen Nation Film & Television Awards will be hosted by TV host and photographer Simon Frederick and a soon to be announced much loved female TV personality, with the Red Carpet arrivals, BTS and Awards ceremony set to be streamed live on social media with highlights broadcast a few weeks later on a Sky based channel in the UK and Europe on DStv across the Africa continent and online across the world.

Themed under the soon to be released seminal black super hero Marvel movie ‘Black Panther’, industry backed Achievement Awards, presented by a host of well-known faces, will recognize both audience favorites, emerging British film & TV talent and legendary artists. The ceremony takes place on the week-end after the Film BAFTA’s and will be held in the presence of top British talent touted for future Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, Olympic and world sporting champions, titans of business and finance, crème de la crème of Nollywood alongside many more from the worlds of music, politics, media and high society.

As usual the Awards hospitality will include a VIP Cocktail Reception with African canapes, a delicious full 3 course W African themed Banquet and a fun-filled After Show Ball with some of the best radio and club DJ's. The night will feature the cream of the black British film & TV scene alongside established mainstream stars from some of the UK’s most popular movies and TV shows.

Invited guest of honor will be a hugely respected African Diaspora movie & TV star, director and/or producer with a history of outstanding and compelling movies and television behind their name. The posthumous winner of the highest UK honor, the Edric Conor Trailblazer Award will be Larrington Walker the recently deceased much loved veteran star who made an important and significant contribution to the British TV, film and theatre landscape and is one of the most respected African Caribbean talents to have ever worked within the industry.

In celebration of their anniversary years, 2017 award recipients will include the Classic Movie Award for what are sure to be either a stunning debut classic or unforgettable musical, comedy or drama  or just a plain old classic movie.
